Going online with Bang & Olufsen: A rich and rewarding customer experience

Innovation is something Bang & Olufsen has never shied away from. So when they made the decision to move into the online retail space, they wanted to ensure the experience was as rich and rewarding for online customers as it is for those who visit its physical stores in more than 100 countries around the world.

“We recognized that to achieve this, we had to house our online applications on sites based on infrastructure with massive scalability and reliability, connected with superfast networking,” says Michael Søby, IT Governance and Sourcing, Bang & Olufsen.

Cogeco Peer 1 worked collaboratively with Bang & Olufsen to develop a hosting solution housing a content delivery system that helps make the online store experience as satisfying as it would be in an actual retail space.

Cogeco Peer 1 also helped develop hosting solutions that handle virtually all of Bang & Olufsen’s mission-critical systems, from its application testing and production environments to the company portal to the corporate website, as well as the ecommerce site and POS systems.
