Data stored in our Managed Backup Solution is charged in a consumption model, based upon the peak amount of data stored in our environment over the past 30 Days for the billing period, and will appear on the following month’s invoice for the usage. Data storage rates may vary based on a few factors. Currently, per GB they are:

Customers can request a specific time to backup; however, we cannot guarantee time slots due to the demands of backups for all customers and the time required to complete jobs. Each request will be reviewed individually. Where no time is specified, Aptum will use our best judgment to assign an appropriate backup window during the night for the region where the server resides.
Linux DB Backup
For backing Linux-based databases, additional configuration of the agent and settings for the database are needed to enable proper export and backup of the database data.
SQL Log Hourly Backup
For backing up the SQL Transaction logs and information are required for the proper backup and restoration of Microsoft SQL.
Veeam Proxy
In some situations where the environment being backed up is not directly accessible to our Veeam servers, a Veeam Proxy server may need to be deployed.
Backup Data for servers are stored within the country they reside within. This ensures your backup data remains sovereign to your deployed region.
Data sent to our backup environment is sent securely via encrypted protocols. Details on the methods used by Veeam to encrypt data in transit can be found at the Veeam help center. Additionally, data stored within our Backup SAN environment resides on disks with encryption enabled to protect the data at rest.
It is possible to specify data to be excluded from backups in order to reduce the volume of data, which may reduce the costs of data stored. However, this may impact the successful restoration of your system in the event there is an issue. Requests can be made via our ticketing system.
Aptum utilizes Veeam, an industry leader, to provide Managed Backups. All operating systems on our Hosting and Private Cloud environments Aptum deploys (including VMware, ProxMox, and Hyper-V), and Hyperscale environments such as Azure, AWS, and GCP support Veeam.

In addition, an agent is required for backing up physical hosts. Virtual machines do not require agents, as they are backed up via the hypervisor.
Veeam supports various databases for backup and recovery, including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and others.
