Ensure business continuity with Aptum’s Managed DRaaS, providing rapid recovery, minimal downtime, and expert-managed resilience. Stay prepared for any disruption with seamless failover and proactive monitoring.
Aptum’s Managed DRaaS ensures business continuity with tailored recovery strategies, continuous monitoring, and swift failover. By defining clear Recovery Point and Recovery Time Objectives, our expert-managed service minimizes downtime and data loss, giving you the confidence that your critical systems can recover quickly and efficiently in any scenario.
Safeguard infrastructure and applications from hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes. Managed DRaaS quickly fails over to a secure, offsite environment, ensuring minimal downtime.
Rapidly restore systems and data after cyber incidents. Defined RPOs/RTOs and runbook-driven failover processes help resume normal operations faster, limiting damage and reputational risk.
Mitigate the impact of host or storage device failures. DRaaS automatically replicates data and workloads, enabling quick failover and restoring normal service within the defined RTO/RPO of the developed runbooks.
Meet regulatory mandates (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA) by maintaining a reliable DR environment. Managed DRaaS includes documented runbooks and reporting for audits and can assist with your compliance validation.
Non-disruptive failover tests validate the DR strategy and confirm RPO/RTO goals.
As business needs evolve, easily add or remove protected workloads. Managed DRaaS adapts, ensuring consistent protection and recovery capabilities for both growing and changing footprints.
Offload complex DR planning, testing, and execution to Aptum’s experts. With runbooks, 24/7 monitoring, and support, even lean IT teams can ensure data availability and business resilience.
Protect workloads spanning on-prem, cloud, and hybrid setups. Managed DRaaS integrates seamlessly with diverse infrastructures, ensuring comprehensive failover strategies across environments.
DRaaS can be used to establish replication between two different environments. Once established, you can confidently switch between your origin and replication sites as needed.

Two key concepts of DR are RPO and RTO. They relate to how often data is replicated. Aptum DRaaS uses Zerto, an enterprise-grade replication software, that ensures low RPO and is suitable for all application types.
Recovery Point Objective (RPO) measures the maximum tolerable amount of data to lose. It also helps to measure how much time can pass between your last data backup and a disaster without causing serious damage to your business. RPO is useful for determining how often to perform data replication.
Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is a metric that helps calculate how quickly you need to recover your IT infrastructure and services following a disaster to maintain business continuity.
Aptum collaborates closely with you during the initial setup to define your desired Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and incorporate these targets into a tailored runbook. This runbook will detail your specific environment, the steps needed to configure DRaaS, and the precise sequence for failover in a potential disaster scenario. We will also audit and assess the environment as part of the runbook creation, determining the current fitness of the environment for DRaaS implementation.
Following this planning phase, we’ll implement and validate the replication software, ensuring all data is fully replicated. We then schedule a failover test to confirm that recovery processes work as intended. Once completed, Aptum continuously monitors replication health and responds promptly if you declare a DR event or if any replication issues arise, helping maintain the resilience and integrity of your infrastructure.
Aptum requires access to your environment in order to configure and maintain the DR of your environment. Our access can be limited to the right roles and capabilities that match our needs. We also store your access information in a secure and encrypted manner that is auditable when used, by who, when, and why. Access will always be documented with tickets by our staff outlining this.
Supported operating systems are determined by Zerto’s compatibility guidelines. Currently, Zerto supports virtual machines running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and its derivatives (such as AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux), as well as all currently supported versions of Windows Server. Aptum will review your catalog of VMs and verify the specific versions and distributions against the latest Zerto documentation.
To establish your DRaaS, Zerto will be installed and confirmed in your environment. The below requirements must be met for proper functionality. Aptum will collaborate with you to identify the resources needed:
Component | Requirement |

Managed DRaaS is available globally and can be integrated into any solution managed by Aptum, regardless of where it is hosted. This includes Hybrid Solutions, Private Cloud, and Hyperscale cloud environments.
Deployment involves the installation and configuration of Zerto, a leading software solution used by Aptum to facilitate seamless replication between origin and target environments. Your origin and target environments must meet the requirements for throughput and latency, which Aptum will work with you to ensure appropriate operation.
For solutions hosted within Aptum’s facilities, our carrier-neutral data centers across North America and Europe are designed to safeguard your environment. Equipped with multi-layered physical security, 24/7/365 monitoring, and video surveillance, we aim to deliver maximum uptime and connectivity. All our Data Center Operations are ISO 27001 certified, and our Managed Infrastructure services are audited against the SOC 2 Type II framework. Many of our locations also hold a PCI DSS certification, helping your business meet compliance requirements.
“We’re dealing with technology. It’s not all perfect. But Aptum’s managed services team is always there to ensure that things are done well and that we are fully supported when things go wrong. Stuff happens. But I know when it does, I can count on Aptum to fix it.”
“The experience is that things just work. When there’s something to be done, it’s done quickly, and it’s done right first time. Don’t underestimate the number of organizations out there, particularly in IT support, that just miss the mark.”
